  • As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll play a crucial role in working closely with and supporting the Nursery Manager and other Deputy to lead and inspire the team . while still being actively involved in the rooms with room leader roles and responsibilities, and helping with lunch, organisation/ preparation and serving at times.
  • Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy.
  • Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager's/Deputy's absence, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child.
  • Help with rota planning, family communication, administrative tasks including fees/invoices, and nursery organisation.
  • Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within the team.

What We're Looking For:

  • Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years
  • Previous experience in a senior or deputy role within a nursery setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child development
  • A warm, professional, proactive team player who leads with care and positivity
  • Great organisational skills and confidence working with digital systems
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, fun-filled environment where no two days are the same!
  • Working with 0-5 years

Hours and salary to be discussed at interview

Must be flexible to work between 8.00 and 5.30 Monday to Friday

Part time/full time

Working nursery open all year except bank holidays and Christmas through to new year.

Experience of working with 0-5 year olds. Level 3 in childcare -
