Deputy Manager - Wraparound Care (Breakfast and After School provision)
Monday - Friday (term time only) 7.00 - 8.50 a.m. and 3.00 - 6.00 p.m. daily
Myland Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, organised and committed Deputy Manager to help lead our 'Windmills' Breakfast and After School provision.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the provision manager and Headteacher to effectively manage the development of and day‑to‑day supervision of 'Windmills' (our Before and After School provision).
You will:
· Lead and supervise daily sessions, providing a caring, safe and stimulating environment for children
· Act as the designated professional lead for safeguarding during allocated sessions
· Plan and implement age‑appropriate activities that support children's physical, social, emotional and intellectual development
· Maintain cleanliness, health & safety and high standards in the provision
· Safely escort children and manage arrivals/departures, communicating effectively with parents and staff
· Support the Wraparound Care Manager by reporting on behaviour, operational issues and referrals and help implement school policies and procedures
· Respond calmly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies in line with school guidance

You will
· Enjoy working with children and have experience of caring for or supervising groups of children
· Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and the wellbeing of every child
· Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
· Be organised, reliable and able to manage time and resources effectively
· Show sensitivity to diversity and inclusion and be able to adapt activities to meet children's varying needs
· Have basic literacy and numeracy skills
· Ideally have, or be willing to work towards, relevant training (e.g. Paediatric First Aid, Level 2 Food Hygiene, Level 3 safeguarding training)
