Deputy Wraparound Care Manager
· Are you passionate about creating a welcoming, safe and stimulating environment for children after the school day?
· Do you enjoy working closely with families and being part of a supportive school community?
Radwinter CofE Primary School is seeking a warm, organised and committed Deputy Wraparound Care Manager to help lead our Dragonflies After School Club and make a real difference to children's wellbeing and experiences.
About Radwinter CofE Primary School
Radwinter is a small, caring Church of England voluntary aided primary school set in a rural village community in the Diocese of Chelmsford. Our vision, "Growing and learning together to embrace life in all its fullness" (John 10:10), is lived out through our values of fairness, forgiveness, kindness, respect and service. We are proud of our inclusive culture - OFSTED (April 2024) described our support for children with SEND as "impressive" - and a pupil said it simply: "You'll never be lonely here."
We are a half‑form entry school with five classes and are currently oversubscribed with waiting lists on most year groups. Staff are caring, collaborative and committed to giving every child the best start to life.
About the role
As Deputy Wraparound Care Manager, you will be responsible for the development and day‑to‑day supervision of Dragonflies (our After School Club). You will:
· Lead and supervise daily Dragonflies sessions, providing a caring, safe and stimulating environment for children
· Act as the designated professional lead for safeguarding during club sessions
· Plan and implement age‑appropriate activities that support children's physical, social, emotional and intellectual development
· Maintain cleanliness, health & safety and high standards in the club environment
· Safely escort children and manage arrivals/departures, communicating effectively with parents and staff
· Support the Wraparound Care Manager by reporting on behaviour, operational issues and referrals, and help implement club policies and procedures
· Respond calmly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies in line with school guidance
This role is an opportunity to shape a valued part of our school provision, influence the experiences of children beyond the classroom and support inclusive practice across the school community.

If you are approachable, calm under pressure and genuinely enjoy helping children flourish, you will fit well into our small, supportive team.
