What skills and experience we are looking for
We are looking for a warm-hearted, caring and patient Learning Support Assistant to join our team and work 1:1 with children across the school during the mornings.
This is a rewarding role for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting children with special educational needs and wants to make a real difference to their school experience. You will play a key part in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence and achieve their individual goals.
About the role:
· Working 1:1 with children with additional needs across the school
· Supporting pupils to follow a personalised curriculum, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
· Helping children to engage with learning, manage routines and develop independence
· Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and parents
· Being flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the day-to-day life of a busy primary school
We are looking for someone who:
· Is kind, calm, patient and nurturing
· Can quickly build positive relationships with children
· Is adaptable, quick-thinking and confident in responding to individual needs
· Shows initiative and can work proactively alongside the class teacher
· Is a strong team player with good communication skills
· Is confident following strategies and adapting support to suit each child
· Remains positive, resilient and solution-focused, even when faced with challenges
Experience of working with children with SEN is desirable, but the right attitude, willingness to learn and genuine care for children are just as important.

Salary Information:
NJC Scale 3, Point 6 - NJC Scale 3, Point 7 Dependent upon experience.
FTE is £26,718 - £27,132 including £729 fringe.
Pro rata Actual Annual Salary5 hours- £3,012.25 - £3,058.92
Days/Hours:
5 hours - Monday-Friday : 9.00-10.00
