Layer -de-la-Haye Primary school are looking to appoint a Part time SENCO assistant to join our team. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, approachable, and committed to supporting pupils with SEND. The post is largely office-based and involves liaising with professionals, coordinating One Planning, monitoring interventions, and working closely with pupils and families. An understanding of SEMH and a willingness to support pupils sensitively and professionally are essential.

This role is for 30 hours per week, term time only, 8:45am-3:15pm Monday - Friday.

Start date: ASAP

Grade: Pay scale 3-4 within the point range 5-8 (depending on experience)

Actual Salary: £17,345 -£18,187

The successful candidate will:

· Be calm, caring and adaptable

· Have experience in supporting pupils with SEND and be willing to train further in this field

· Understand that behaviour is a form of communication

· Build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils and families

· Show a commitment for the school's vision and its promotion of our school values

· Have the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively

· Be efficient in the organisation of paperwork

· Use initiative to solve problems and anticipate needs
