Class/1:1 Learning Support Assistant
Scale 2 - 3 point 4 to 6 (depending on experience)
17.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (Monday-Friday) 8.30am - 12pm
Start date negotiable, but as soon as possible after interview

We require a class/one to one learning assistant who is reliable, competent and caring to provide support for a child/ren with additional needs in Key Stage One.
The position is for a part time candidate, with recent successful experience of working with children with additional needs and/or small intervention groups in a class. It is initially for a fixed term until July 2026.
The successful candidate will need to:
· support children in class, in small groups and on an individual basis in the school setting
· be adaptable, well organised and an effective team player
· where necessary work with groups of children or individuals
· have good English and Maths skills to GCSE or equivalent level, and possible relevant LA and/or EYFS training qualifications
· have good communication skills, patience and motivation to encourage pupils to achieve their best
· if required undertake additional training to support medical and personal needs.
· use initiative and follow teacher guidance to scaffold the curriculum to support a range of needs
· be flexible to support colleagues across the school as necessary
