SEN Learning Support Assistant
Scale 3 (c.£11,878)
Fixed Term Contract until 31.08.2032
Term time only, 21.25 hours, Monday - Friday 8.45- 13.15pm
To commence September 2025
Maylandsea Primary School is part of The Eveleigh LINK Academy Trust and is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and capable learning support assistant who will have a positive impact on the children that they work with. Previous experience is highly desirable. You will be joining a team of hard working, friendly and adaptable LSAs working under the direction of class teachers supporting in lessons and running interventions.
We are seeking to appoint an SEN LSA to work with pupils with needs in a number of areas, including cognition and learning, social interaction, emotional regulation, speech, language and communication and intimate care needs (toileting needs). Suitable candidates will be able to interact with a wide range of children and use their own interpersonal skills to encourage the most from the children they work with.
Suitable candidates will need to be able to work as part of a team and be able to liaise with other members of staff. The successful applicant will be organised, with good communication skills, able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility, and understand the professional nature of the role.
Together with the above attributes, a good standard of English and mathematics is required. Also, lunch time duties on the playground and/or in the dining hall will be required.
Qualifications: good numeracy and literacy skills - (GCSE or equivalent in English and maths are highly desirable).
