EYFS Teaching Assistant:Scale 3 (point 4-5) plus Outer Fringe (both pro rata)
Part time: 8.40am to 12.00pm and 13.00pm to 15.15pm (Monday to Friday)
Hours: 27 hours 55 minutes per week, term time only
Required: asap depending on notice required
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed person to provide general classroom, 1-2-1 support and class interventions in the EYFS classroom. Our ideal candidate would be an effective role model that sets high expectations and motivates the pupils to achieve. Ideally they will have previous experience in the role of a Teaching Assistant and hold qualifications equivalent to NVQ Level 2 (specifically supporting Teaching & Learning) or equivalent (GCSE A-C Mathematics and English).
We are looking for someone who is resilient and positive, confident, calm and patient. Able to work closely with the Class Teachers and the Inclusion Leader.
The successful candidate will:
· Work well as part of a team, as well as being able to show initiative and have an ability to work independently.
· Have a commitment to high quality inclusive teaching and learning.
· Educated to at least GCSE grade 4/level C or equivalent in Maths and English.
· Be able to develop, nurture and model positive adult and peer relationships.
· Be able to engage and motivate children to learn, building on the strengths and resources of the child.
· Be able to engage in physical activities with pupils.
· Be able to contribute to assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluations.
The successful application would be expected to:
· Assist with the development and implementation of One Plans/ EHCPs.
· Monitor and record pupil responses and learning.
· Use initiative and contribute to creating a stimulating and purposeful learning environment.
· Encourage independence and promote self-confidence.
· Work in partnership with other learning support assistants; the class teacher; SENCO and Headteacher.
