School Admin Support Assistant required: September 2024
10 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 11.00am
Band 2 points 3-4
Queen Boudica Primary School is a thriving and successful two-form entry primary school situated on the north side of Colchester. We offer modern, well-resourced learning environments and our pupils are well mannered, dynamic and motivated to learn.

As a school we are part of local English and Maths hub groups as well as the Open University's Reading for Pleasure platform and aim to provide an excellent education for our pupils whilst maintaining a calm and caring atmosphere in which to learn. We place great value on kindness and compassion and treat all our children and their families accordingly.
Governors are seeking to appoint a positive and proactive Admin Support Assistant to join our Admin Team from September 2024. We hope that you will have a passion for people, as well as excellent organisational skills, and possess the ability to make a positive difference to our pupils and their families. A child-centred approach and the ability to empathise with pupils' and their families' emotional needs are essential. The successful applicant's duties will include providing generaladministrative and reception support to the school. We are looking for candidates who enjoy being part of a team alongside being self-motivated. As part of the role you will manage your workload, prioritise tasks and use your own initiative with guidance from your line manager/s.
High quality written and spoken English is essential. Previous experience of working in a busy office environment is essential and school experience is desirable.
The main areas of responsibility will include:
- Front of house duties including greeting visitors and answering calls
- Providing First Aid
- Generalclerical tasks
- SIMS knowledge is desirable but not essential
