MARKETING and COMMUNICATION ASSISTANT - Fixed Term Appointment

· Working pattern 0.2 FTE- 7.5hrs, 39 weeks term time only (Working pattern to be agreed)

About Us

Brickfields Multi Academy Trust comprises four primary schools working together to deliver high‑quality education and strong community engagement. We are seeking a creative and organised Marketing and Communication Assistant to support the Trust's digital communications and help strengthen our online presence across all platforms.

The Role

The Marketing and Communication Assistant's priority is to ensure that each school has a full uptake of pupils whilst enhancing communications and community partnership by producing engaging content, managing social media channels, and supporting brand consistency across our schools.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation: Capture and edit high‑quality photos and short-form videos that highlight school life, achievements, and events.
Social Media Management: Draft, design, and schedule posts for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn using tools such as Canva or Adobe Express.
Brand Development: Support the consistent application of Trust and school branding across digital and printed materials.
Website & Newsletter Support: Liaise with website designers and school staff to update content and ensure accuracy across newsletters and web pages.
Community Engagement: Monitor comments and messages to encourage positive interaction with parents and the wider community.
Digital Strategy: Track engagement metrics and contribute ideas to strengthen our online reach and visibility.
Asset Management: Maintain an organised library of marketing materials, including images, newsletters, and promotional resources.

Person Specification

Essential:

Creative flair with a strong eye for design and detail.
Ability to produce clear, engaging, and accurate written content.
Confident user of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Canva.
Reliable, proactive, and able to work within safeguarding and brand guidelines.
Willingness to travel to Trust schools when required

The role focuses on high‑quality communication, brand consistency, and proactive outreach to families and the wider community.

Pupil Recruitment - Strengthen the Trust's visibility to ensure all school places are filled.
Communication Excellence - Deliver clear, engaging, and timely communication across all platforms.
Community Partnership - Build positive relationships with families, local organisations, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications

Pupil Recruitment & Visibility

Campaign Support - Assist with marketing campaigns for admissions, open days, and key recruitment periods.
Community Outreach - Promote Trust events and initiatives to families and local partners.
Data & Insight - Monitor engagement metrics to identify what content drives interest and enquiries.
Community Engagement

Positive Interaction - Monitor comments and messages to maintain constructive communication with parents and the community.
Local Partnerships - Support relationships with community groups, nurseries, and local organisations to enhance visibility and trust reputation.

Operational Support

Asset Management - Maintain an organised library of marketing materials, including images, newsletters, and promotional resources.
Cross‑School Coordination - Work across all four schools to ensure consistent messaging and shared priorities.
