The ideal SENCO will be someone who:

* Has experience and understanding of EHCPs

* Has an understanding of SEN code of practice & primary curriculum

* Is able to carry out 1:1 assessments and liaising with SLT and parent's/ guardians

* Can monitor teaching quality and pupil achievement

* Is able to undertake day to day coordination of SEN pupil's provisions through close liaison with staff, parents and external agencies

* Is a great communicator, developing positive relationships with young children and adults

* Is committed to raise the achievement of all students of all abilities

* Is passionate and dedicated in helping children reach their academic potential
