SEN Learning Support Assistant

Job Description

Crays Hill Primary School has an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to join the team as soon as possible.

The position is for 32.5 hours per week working 8:30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday, including a 30 min break. (Term time only, 39 weeks per year including 5x Inset days).

Salary Scale 3 to 4, Point Range 5-8 depending on qualifications and experience. Actual Salary £18,215 to £18,813 per annum (April 2024 pay rise pending) includes paid annual leave which must be taken during school closure periods).

We are seeking to appoint a flexible, resilient, hardworking SEN Learning Support Assistant to support pupils' targeted learning through 1:1, small group and whole class.

The successful candidate will:

· have good knowledge and experience of how to positively support children with a range of learning needs, behaviour and SEN needs.

· be willing to work with EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils and be flexible to support any age group

· be willing to work 1:1, in small groups and supporting whole classes with challenging behaviour and a broad range of SEN learning requirements.

· be an effective written and verbal communicator who can liaise with a range of stakeholders.

· be willing to teach a daily RWInc group (training provided)

· be kind, passionate and have a therapeutic approach for helping children solve problems and learn in a happy environment

· be creative and enthusiastic with the ability to look upon demands as an opportunity to be positive and inspirational

· believe in inclusion, diversity and access the right of each pupil to maximise their potential whatever their needs and abilities
