Canewdon C of E Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Midday Assistant to join the team as soon as possible.
The hours are 11:50am to 13:10pm Monday to Friday, 6 hours 40 minutes per week term time only for 38 weeks per year.
Salary Scale 2 Point 3 (Range 3-4) Actual Salary: £3,417 per annum (April 2024 Payrise pending ) includes paid annual leave which must be taken during school closure periods.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and dependable team member to supervise and maintain the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the lunchtime period.
We are looking for someone who:
· can provide care for children during their lunch hour, involving playing games, supervising the hall and providing minor first aid if needed
· be self-motivated, reliable and well organised, and have an understanding of the caring attitude and commitment essential to such a role and be willing to support this
· show initiative and flexibility, be patient and understand the confidential nature of this role
· be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Information about the School
Canewdon Endowed CofE (VC) Primary School is part of a federation of two schools. We value the individuality of each school; whilst we also believe that it is vital that we share expertise and resources effectively in order to survive and thrive as small schools. The successful candidate will be expected to occasionally work across the federation and travel between schools if necessary.
