Our school community is a broad and vibrant tapestry enriched by a wide range of backgrounds, faiths and life experiences. As a result of our inclusive approach, we are proud to support hundreds of children who learn, think and communicate in different ways.

We are proud of our welcoming and engaging learning environment. Our school is spacious, with a large hall used for PE, assemblies and meals. We also have multiple outdoor learning areas and access to a well-sized field. Children have access to a range of mobile technologies during computing sessions which are also used across the curriculum. Over the past academic year, we have invested in several spaces to support emotional regulation including a soft room and sensory pods - accessible to any child who may need them. We have also developed learning environments tailored for children requiring pre-formal or semi-formal approaches within a mainstream setting. West Thurrock Academy is a place where all children can feel safe, secure and empowered to explore and learn.

We believe every child is unique. We work hard to nurture each individual's abilities while addressing their specific needs. Our curriculum is designed to equip children with essential skills and knowledge that prepare them for the next phase of their education and for life beyond school. Staff at West Thurrock Academy are committed to delivering an inclusive, broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum that supports all learners regardless of the barriers they may face. Learning is enriched with trips, guest visitors and a wide range of engaging experiences. Our ambition is to spark curiosity and passion-whether that leads to becoming the next mathematician, author, scientist, historian, athlete, artist or something entirely new.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
