LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT - EARLY YEARS/NURSERY
Pay Range: Local Government Scale 3 (Point 6-7)
Actual Salary From: £9,785 - £9,941 per annum
Hours/Weeks: 16.25 hours (16 hours & 15 minutes), 39 working weeks
Monday - Friday AM
Start Date: 1st September 2026

The Role
We are seeking an outstanding individual with experience of working with EYFS children to compliment the professional work of teachers, supporting learning in the classroom by working with individual children and small groups, under the direction of the class teacher.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
● To support pupils with severe learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties.
● Take an active role in the preparation, maintenance and control of stocks of materials and resources.
● Understand specific learning needs and styles and provide differentiated support to pupils individually and within a group.
● Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils' responses as appropriate

We're looking for you if you have:
● Successful recent experience working with Nursery and EYFS children
● Understand procedures and legislation relating to confidentiality
● Ability to understand and support children with developmental difficulty or disability
● Ability to communicate effectively with children and their families and carers and other adults and overcome communication barriers with children and adults
● Ability to supervise and organise pupils.
