We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team on a part-time basis for one year. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students in reaching their full potential, both academically and personally.
As an LSA, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to pupils, including those with additional learning needs, ensuring an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities are to:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
- Assist in the delivery of lessons under teacher guidance
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN), where required
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Help prepare classroom resources and maintain learning environments
- Monitor and record student progress where necessary
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Be patient, caring, and positive in approach
- Have good communication and teamwork skills
- Be reliable and well-organised
- Previous experience in a school or similar setting is desirable but not essential
- Will have, or be working towards, a relevant Level 2 qualification.
- Must feel confident in supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
