Preschool Manager - Kind Hearts Preschool, St George's, Brentwood
£16.00-£18.00 per hour | 33 hours per week | Term-time only
38 working weeks per year + 5.6 weeks paid annual leave

Kind Hearts Early Education is looking for a warm, confident and passionate Preschool Manager to lead our established St George's preschool in Brentwood.
You may already be working as a Preschool or Nursery Manager, or you might be an experienced Deputy Manager, Room Leader or Early Years Teacher who feels ready to take the next step into leadership. What matters to us is finding someone with strong Early Years practice, the ability to bring out the best in a team and a genuine commitment to giving every child the opportunity to thrive.
About the role
As Preschool Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the setting, working closely with our Director and wider Kind Hearts team.
We want our Manager to have genuine ownership of their setting. You'll have the freedom to bring your own ideas, develop your team and shape the environment and practice, while having support around you when you need it.
Your role will include:
• Leading, supporting and developing the preschool team
• Maintaining high standards of Early Years practice
• Ensuring the EYFS is implemented effectively
• Creating an inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their potential
• Building strong relationships with children and families
• Supporting children with SEND and working effectively with other professionals
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory compliance
• Overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the preschool
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who:
• Holds a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
• Has strong experience working within the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Has experience of leading or supporting other members of staff
• Understands safeguarding and the responsibilities involved in leading an Early Years setting
• Is organised, approachable and confident communicating with families and professionals
• Shares our commitment to inclusive Early Years practice
• Wants to continue learning and developing as a leader
Previous experience as a Manager is welcomed, but we are also happy to hear from experienced Early Years professionals who are ready to progress into their first management role.
What we offer
• £16.00-£18.00 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications

Information about the School
We are a child led setting that follows In The Moment planning and we are looking for a new team member that will thrive in this environment. In the moment planning requires in depth knowledge of each of our children and the ability to think on your feet to capitalise on or create a teachable moment.
We are a packaway setting and therefore excellent time keeping is essential to ensure we are cleared away in a timely manner.
