JOB VACANCY FOR AN AFTER SCHOOL CLUB LEADER
at Barling Magna Primary Academy
Fixed term band 5 (Essex Schools Pay Scale April 2026)
13 hours 20 minutes per week Mon to Fri 3:20pm - 6pm Term time only
N.B. Hours may increase to up to 15 hours per week depending on uptake for the club.
We would like to appoint a hard-working and enthusiastic After School Club Leader to join our friendly team at The Brickfields Trust working at Barling Magna Primary Academy. You would provide support for pupils of all abilities within the after school club. Prior experience is desirable but not essential.
We are looking for someone with:
• Previous experience of working with children in school/early years
• An understanding of games and activities assist children's development and learning.
• Enthusiasm and an ability to make learning fun
• A flexible approach and a 'can do' attitude
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Awareness of legislation relating to confidentiality, child protection procedures and health and safety
• A desire to make a positive difference
• Good reading, writing and numeracy skills, basic first aid knowledge and ability to use basic technology
• A proactive and flexible approach
