We have an exciting new opportunity! Whipper-snappers is looking for dedicated practitioners, part time and full time, with a level 2, 3, or above Early Years qualification to join our fabulous team.

Whipper-snappers is a large family run full daycare nursery and out of school provision for babies and children aged from 0-12 years. Located in a rural location on the outskirts of Felsted, Essex, CM6 3EF. Our welcoming restored barns are set well away from the road in approximately five acres of land, overlooking open countryside. Our purpose is to provide a fun, engaging and loving environment for early learning for all children in our care. We strongly believe learning is at its best when through a child's play and solid connections with nature and the natural environment.

Our practitioners:

· are committed and passionate about the role of nurturing and educating children.

· are committed to a trauma and mental health-informed approach, ensuring all children develop positive mental health and resilience through Trauma Perceptive Practice.

· as a key-person, build strong relationships with both the parents and the child to understand their interests and developmental stage, and respecting them as individuals.

· plan through a child-centred approach with individualised planning through next steps, which follows the child's interests and stages of development

· provide opportunities for the individual child's next steps in learning through continuous and enhanced provision

· plan 'in the moment' but consider the next steps and opportunities for the child's progression

· extend the child's knowledge using Sustained Shared Thinking, making a judgement on when to step in and introduce further learning
