The Catering / Midday Assistant needs to be clear thinking physically fit as this role requires manual handling to put up and put away dining tables. Support children in meal service, to encourage and maintain good manners and skills of socialising whilst eating. Supporting children in clearing plates and meals. To ensure that children have access to drinks for their meals and monitor the packed lunches are a healthy option for the children. To clear and wipe down the tables and clear the floor of spillages at the end of service. Be part of a team that provides support in the playground and classroom if time is allocated to this. There is no meal preparation involved in this role.

Information about the School
Stapleford Abbotts School was built in 1887 and has been an important part of village life since its establishment. Over the past ten years, the school has become popular and there has been considerable amount of refurbishment and new build. The school attracts children from a wide catchment area and from the neighbouring London Boroughs of Redbridge, Dagenham, and Havering. We are committed to. Involving the wider community with school life and work closely with other agencies including other rural schools in the Epping area.
