About us

Parsons Heath Church of England Primary School is a warm, welcoming and inclusive school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

Our Christian vision is inspired by Jesus as the Good Shepherd, who knows, cares for and guides each of his sheep. This vision sits at the heart of school life and is reflected in our values of Belonging, Kindness and Resilience. We want every child to feel that they belong, to develop the confidence to persevere when things are difficult and to show kindness and compassion towards others.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed teacher to join our team from January 2027, teaching in Year 6 for two days each week, this will including tutoring.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive school community. Our children are enthusiastic learners and our staff work closely together to provide engaging, ambitious and inclusive learning opportunities.

We are particularly proud of our commitment to inclusion and to ensuring that children with a wide range of needs are able to succeed and feel a strong sense of belonging within our school.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is an enthusiastic and reflective classroom practitioner;
  • has high expectations for all children and believes that every child can make progress;
  • can create an engaging, positive and nurturing classroom environment;
  • understands the importance of inclusion and adapting teaching to meet different needs;
  • is able to work closely and collaboratively with the other Year 6 teacher and the wider staff team;
  • builds positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues;
  • is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children;
  • will support and contribute to our Christian ethos and school values;
  • brings enthusiasm, warmth and a sense of humour to school life.

Previous experience of teaching Year 6 would be welcomed, but we would also be pleased to hear from a strong teacher who is excited by the opportunity to work with our oldest pupils.

What we can offer:

  • Wonderful children who are keen to learn and proud of their school.
  • A friendly, committed and supportive staff team.
  • A supportive Senior Leadership Team.
  • Strong classroom support.
  • A positive working and learning environment.
  • A genuinely inclusive approach to meeting children's individual needs.
  • Opportunities for professional development.
  • Supportive parents, governors and wider school community.
  • The opportunity to play an important part in preparing our Year 6 children for the next stage of their education.
  • A school where Belonging, Kindness and Resilience are lived out each day.

If you are an enthusiastic teacher who wants to make a difference to children and would enjoy being part of a caring and supportive school community, we would love to hear from you.

Visits to the school are warmly encouraged. This is the best way to meet our children and staff and experience what makes Parsons Heath such a special place.
