Contract Type:Fixed term, part-time
Working Pattern:8:35am to 3:15pm (with one hour lunch break) Thursday and Friday.
Hours per Week 5 hours 40 mins per day (total 11 hours 20 mins per week)
Working weeks per year: Term time only
Salary Scale: LGS Scale 3 - points 5-6
Our school is currently seeking to recruit a flexible, enthusiastic and inspiring Learning Support Assistant to work with targeted individuals or small groups both within and beyond the classroom setting so that they can reach their full potential and thrive in our inclusive and vibrant school. If you like children and want to play a key role in nurturing them and watching them grow, this may well be the job for you!
Although this is fixed term contract to 30th July 2027, there is scope for the post to become permanent for the righ candidate. Experience of understanding and supporting pupils with learning difficulties, speech and language difficulties, autism, ADHD or social and emotional needs is essential. A willingness to work across the primary age range would be of particular interest.
This role would suit somebody who as a sense of humour, demonstrates excellent empathy but also has resilience and a commitment to a firm, clear and consistent approach to supporting pupils.
We are looking for the succesful candidate to start as soon as possible. We reserve the right to interview ahead of the closing date so we advise early application where possible.
The successful candidate will:
- have a passion for inclusion, supporting pupils in making the best possible progress
- put children at the centre of their work
- have a caring, patient and positive approach towards supporting pupils' learning and pastoral needs
- be able to work effectively as part of a team, as well as being pro-active and able to use their own initiative
- have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- have knowledge and experience of working with pupils with special educational needs
