We are looking for a Nursery Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly team and help create a safe, happy, and nurturing environment during lunchtime.
We are looking for a caring and reliable individual who enjoys working with young children.
Hours: 11:30am - 12.45pm Monday-Friday, term time only
To supervise and support our youngest children during lunchtimes within Little Acorns Nursery at White Court School, ensuring a safe, positive, and nurturing environment. You will encourage good eating habits, promote social skills, and help maintain hygiene and wellbeing standards.
Job Role
· Supervise children in the dining area, playground, or nursery during lunchtimes
· Support children with eating, including encouraging independence and assisting where necessary
· Promote good table manners and positive social interaction
· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times
· Clean and prepare eating areas before and after meals
· Manage minor first aid incidents and report any concerns to senior staff
· Help children with handwashing and toileting routines as needed
· Encourage inclusive play and positive behaviour
· Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene policies
To engage with children making lunchtime experience enjoyable
Essential:
- Experience working with young children (nursery or early years setting preferred)
- Caring, patient, and approachable manner
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to manage children's behaviour calmly and effectively
Desirable:
- First Aid qualification
- Level 3 qualification
- Food hygiene certificate
- Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
