Job Purpose:

To teach the curriculum across the 4-11 age range as required by the Head of School. To participate in the development of appropriate curriculum. To mark and assess pupils' work. To support the vision and values of the school.

You will:

Dr Walker’s Church of England Primary School is a small village Voluntary Controlled community school, in the heart of Fyfield, Ongar. We might be small, but have a lot to offer!

We are a creative school, where pupils are supported to become the best they can be. Pupils access the curriculum through additional fun activities such as dressing up days, hatching ducks, circus workshops, visiting zoo, residentials, initiatives, etc. and where appropriate participation in sporting events with local schools. Our school website evidences all our fun activities in the weekly newsletters (do have a look at how we are having fun, whilst learning!).

Our school aims to be An Exceptional Place to Flourish, where we work together to grow, progress, achieve and develop to become well-balanced British and global citizens; aspiring to live a life in all its fullness and to succeed. Our associated Christian Values aligned with the fundamental British Values.

The school has had a number of improvements over the last few years, inclusive of: • The building of two new classrooms (with aircon) • new playground multi-sports markings • multi-sports goalposts • an adventure trail • classrooms have been re-decorated • new access to KS2 classrooms • EYFS has had a make-over (inside and out!) and • new fencing to secure the school’s main entrance.
