The CEO of SECAT is seeking to appoint an Assistant Groundsperson to support the Head Groundsperson to ensure that all Trust grounds, sports facilities and landscaped areas are maintained to a safe and professional standard and are well presented for students, staff, visitors and all stakeholders.
The successful candiate will have the following:
- Full UKManual Driving Licence
- Qualification in grounds maintenance
It would be desirable if the successful candidates has the following:
- Level 3 Diploma in Horticulture, Turf Maintenance, or related field
- PA1 / PA6a Pesticides Certificate
- Chainsaw qualification (e.g., cross-cutting and maintenance)
- First Aid qualification
The hours per week will vary according to the time of yearas follows:
April to September, 37 hours per week (5 days) £26,824 to £28,598 per annum
October to March, 22.5 hours per week (3 days) £16,311 to £17,390 per annum
Actual Salary £21,567 - £22,994 per annum

The Trust Head Office is at SECAT House, which is in the grounds of Thorpedene Primary School, one of the 6 schools in our Trust. The Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Executive Assistant all operate from SECAT House.
The Central Finance Team, ICT Team, Estates Team and HR Team are all based in schools within the MAT, as is the Director of Education.
