Network Manager

Grade:Level 7 SCP 21-27

37 hours per week, 48 weeks of the year (term time only, including inset days plus 3 weeks)

Responsible to: Headteacher

Milton Hall is seeking an experienced and proactive Network Manager to lead, maintain, and develop the school's IT infrastructure. This is a key role supporting teaching, learning, and administration by ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient network services across the school. You will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of the school's network, systems, and ICT support services, working closely with senior leaders, staff, and external providers.

What You'll Do

· Manage and maintain the school's network infrastructure

· Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all systems

· Provide technical leadership and escalation support for ICT issues

· Plan and implement system upgrades and new technologies

· Contribute to the school's ICT strategy and development plan

What We're Looking For
· Has proven experience managing networks and systems, ideally in a school or similar environment

· Has strong knowledge of Windows servers, networking, and cloud services

· Understands cybersecurity best practices and safeguarding in education

· Can communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical staff

· Is organised, proactive, and able to work independently

· Has a solution-focused and service-oriented approach

Desirable (but not essential):

· Experience in an educational setting

· Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA)

· Experience managing ICT budgets or staff
