We are looking for a caring, fun, enthusiastic experienced person with a minimum Level 2 qualification in childcare.
Candidate must have experience and knowledge of the EYFS and key person role, to help our little ones grow and develop on their learning journey.
We provide education and care for children aged 2-5. We are a pack away preschool based in a village hall, the role involves setting up and packing away all furniture and equipment at the beginning and end of every day so lots of lifting is required.
Working hours are 8am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, term time only for 39 weeks of the year (38 weeks within the setting and 5 days staff training).
The role requires you to:
-act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely with parents / carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met
- actively promote and support the safeguarding of children within the setting
-ensuring preschool policies and procedures are observed at all times
-be an excellent role model to children, parents/carers and other staff members
-assist with planning of the curriculum and individual child's planning
- set up and pack away the preschool room daily
We provide training including Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid, term time working and uniform.

Layer Preschool is an Ofsted rated Good preschool situated in the village hall in Layer de la Haye. We are open to children aged 2-5 from 9am to 3pm, 5 days a week for 38 weeks a year.
