We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and values-driven Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead our internal SEMH specialist provision.
At Eversley, we combine high expectations with a deeply nurturing ethos. We believe every child deserves to feel safe, understood and successful. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping inclusive practice and making a tangible difference to pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
The Role
Working closely with the Headteacher and SENCo, you will:
- Contribute strategically to the ongoing development of our school vision and priorities.
- Lead and further develop our internal SEMH provision, ensuring high-quality personalised support.
- Drive consistent, relational and restorative behaviour practice across the school.
- Monitor impact and secure continuous improvement.
- Serve as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, championing a strong safeguarding culture.
- Maintain a regular teaching commitment, modelling high-quality classroom practice and remaining closely connected to pupils' learning and progress.
While this is not a full-time class teaching post, the successful candidate will teach regularly as part of the role and lead by example in securing strong outcomes for all pupils.
We Are Looking For a Leader Who:
- Has successful primary leadership experience.
- Is passionate about inclusion and improving life chances.
- Has strong expertise in SEMH and behaviour leadership.
- Can inspire, support and challenge colleagues.
- Is resilient, reflective and child-centred in their approach.
Why Eversley?
- A genuinely supportive and collaborative staff team.
- Leadership autonomy within a maintained school structure.
- The opportunity to shape provision without external trust constraints.
- A community that values inclusion, wellbeing and ambition for every child.
