Learning Support Assistant

Scale 3, Point 4 - 5.

Actual Starting Salary: £7383.22 actual per annum


Hours of work: 13 hours per week / 38 weeks per year (term-time only)


Working pattern: Tuesday & Wednesday 08:30am - 15:30pm with a 30 min unpaid break.


Fixed-term contract until 31 August 2026 (required to start as soon as possible)

Colchester Academy is a thriving secondary school, looking to appoint a Learning Support
Assistant to join our Learning Support Team. The role will include providing support for students
with special educational needs both in and outside the classroom and is an excellent opportunity
as a first step into a teaching career.


The appointment is term time only, 38 weeks per year, 13 hours per week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the rest of this academic year up to 31st August 2026.
