Teaching Assistant
PayScale:BandApoint4(approx.£16,190actual)
25 hrs per week - 45.8wksper year (1extrapaidweek after 5 yearsofservice)
Required-asap
We areseekingto appointTeaching Assistantsto workwith SLD students in our pre-formal pathway.These studentsare unable to access the nationalcurriculum buthave individualised learning programmes instead.Working in the pre-formal pathwaymay involve supportingall ofthe students in the class and/or providing 1:1 support for a named student.
Previousexperience of working with children with special educational needs whilst not essential, is preferable.

In March2025Treetops School was judged by Ofsted to havemaintainedthe standardsidentifiedat thepreviousinspection.Thepreviousinspection was in February 2020, at which time Treetops was judged as Outstanding. Treetops Free School, which officially opened in September 2022, was judged Good in its first Ofsted inspection in March 2024.
Students throughoutTreetopsLearning Community have complex needs varying from moderate to severe learning difficulties, which mayinclude;speech and communication difficulties,autismand global developmental delay.
