Part time Site Manager

Salary: TA1 - TA4 £10,230 - £11,197 ( pay-rise pending) Actual salary (Depending on experience)

(£23,658 - £25,895 FTE)

Hours: 16 hrs per week year round contract

Mon & Tue 3pm to 6.30pm Wed to Friday 3-6pm. Further hours may be required during school holidays and paid as appropriate.

Southend YMCA community school is seeking to appoint a Site Manager as soon as possible.

The successful candidate should have a 'can-do attitude' and will work under the direction of the School Business Manager in all aspects of caretaking and general site maintenance duties to ensure our school building's and grounds are safe, smart and compliant and fit for providing a high-quality education for our pupils. They will need to be enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible with general DIY, painting and caretaking skills.

The role will also include carrying out routine tests to meet compliance including emergency lighting, testing water temperatures, fire extinguishers, fire alarm etc.

The role will also entail consultation with various stakeholders including contractors and tradesman. Previous experience of basic Health and Safety is essential. Duties will include managing external cleaners, dealing with spillages, blockages, locking and unlocking and any ad-hoc duties as required.
