Breakfast / After School Club Assistant

Mondays & Wednesdays: 7.30am - 9am (start ASAP)

Mondays & Wednesday: 3pm - 5.15pm (September 2025 start)

Total: 7.5 hours per week

Term time only (38 weeks per year)

Pay Band - Scale 2, Point 3 to 4 (actual salary £2438 to £2476)

There is often the opportunity for additional hours at both Breakfast and After School Clubs on Mondays - Fridays

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivatedBreakfast/After School Club Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
  • Providing comprehensive care for the children.
  • Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
  • Administering first aid when necessary.
  • Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
  • Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
  • Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
  • Working within the framework of the club's policies and procedures.

The successful applicant should preferably have:

  • A calm and kind manner.
  • An ability to be organised and work under pressure.
  • Experience of working in a school or with children.
  • An ability to follow instructions as well as to work on their own initiative.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A commitment to meeting the needs of all pupils.
  • Cooking experience.

Funded childcare places in after school club may be available for applicants with children at the school. Please ask for further information.
