Newlands Spring Primary and Nursery School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving educational environment and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals for students and staff, following strict dietary requirements and health and safety regulations.
Serving meals and providing excellent customer service to students and staff during meal times.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
Assisting with stock control, including receiving and storing deliveries.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
A passion for food and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
Working Hours and Salary: This is a part-time position, consisting of 27.5 hours per week during term time. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a flexible and supportive environment, with a competitive salary.
