This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our office team at St Andrews. We are looking for someone with initiative and enthusiasm, who is flexible and can manage priorities in a busy office environment. The successful candidate must possess good communication skills, a working knowledge of word and excel. Experience with FMS/SIMs is desirable.

The post is Monday - Friday. Hours are negotiable, minimum hours are 17.5, which is currently 9.00am to 12.30pm, term time and inset days.

The range of duties, include:


· To assist with financial administration such as placing orders, invoicing, preparing supplier payments

· To assist with the collection of monies - including dinner money, trips, photographs etc

· Maintain manual and computerised financial records

· To carry out all financial administration in accordance with the school financial regulations and policies

· Support the School Business Manager in maintaining an up-to-date filing system, including the archived financial records

· Be responsible for maintaining the School Inventory and the Contracts Spreadsheet

· Help to ensure the school is following 'Best Value' procedures


· To compile the school registers for meals and provide accurae numbers to the school kitchendaily

· To undertake general clerical support as required

· To support the office team as a point of contact for both telephone and face to face enquiries and take messages where appropriate

· To ensure school security arrangements are always complied with, ensuring all visitors use the signing in computer

· To accept and sign for deliveries as appropriate


· To administer first aid to pupils as required, in keeping with the school's policy.

· To liaise with parents regarding pupil sickness/injury

· To assist with the general welfare of pupils

Dear Candidate Thank you for your interest in the position in our school.

St Andrew’s CE Primary School is situated in the village of North Weald, close to Epping. There are currently 361 pupils, age 4 – 11 years on roll plus a pre-school with 16 places for 3 to 4 year olds. The majority of our pupils live in the village of North Weald.

Class teachers are supported by a very experienced team of Learning Support Assistants, and HLTAs who also take on additional responsibilities within the school. We have an experienced SEND team who provide invaluable support for our children.

At St Andrews we are very proud of our inclusive, Christian ethos. We Believe in Friendship, Inspire Courage and Achieve Confidence.

Our last Ofsted inspection, in July 2023, judged our school as continuing to be Good in all areas. Whilst our website is very informative and will give you a flavour of our school, I would welcome visits to see the school in action.
