Hours - 37 per week (Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm & Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm)

(Y)Our Opportunity

This is an exciting role within the TKAT Essex Finance Team, as the Regional Finance Officer you will work in partnership with an the Regional Primary Business Manager supporting our four TKAT Essex Primary School with strategic financial management and planning. You'll provide a robust support network for the Essex Primaries, as well as completing and owning administrative tasks.

We are looking for an excellent communicator who can inspire confidence and trust. Someone who is organised and able to multitask in finance in a calm and efficient manner. This role is perfect for someone who has a consolidated financial and administrative background and is now looking to develop their generalist skills. Finance experience working in an educational setting would be an advantage. This is the ideal role for a flexible approach to work as part of the TKAT family and Essex Finance Team with the ability to work independently where required.

This role will be based in the TKAT Essex Primary Finance Hub in Maldon Primary School, CM9 5DQ. This role may require the occasional travel and working onsite at the other academies Heybridge Primary School CM9 4TU, Stapleford Abbotts Primary School RM4 1EJ & Willow Brook Primary School CO4 0DT, this would be determined by business requirements.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures and practice
  • Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • Adopt a flexible approach to working. Previously worked in an office and or hybrid environment
  • Experience working successfully and collaborating as a member of a team
  • Working on own initiative
  • English and Maths to GCSE/ Standard Grade or beyond
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with ICT, familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems
  • Be able to prioritise workloads; have excellent time management and organisational skills under pressure and meet deadlines

Information about the School

Stapleford Abbotts School was built in 1887 and has been an important part of village life since its establishment. Over the past ten years, the school has become popular and there has been considerable amount of refurbishment and new build. The school attracts children from a wide catchment area and from the neighbouring London Boroughs of Redbridge, Dagenham, and Havering. We are committed to. Involving the wider community with school life and work closely with other agencies including other rural schools in the Epping area.
