Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our highly skilled team. Experience of covering classes in the absence of the teacher to deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, to progress pupils' learning and to assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment as agreed with the teacher is essential.
Here at Canvey Junior School we have high expectations for children's attainment and behaviour.
The successful candidate will need to have:
- Experience supporting teaching and learning, ideally in a school environment;
- Knowledge and experience of the National Curriculum;
- A positive and proactive approach;
- The ability to work as part of a team;
- High expectations for all pupils;
- NVQ Level 3 in learning support or meet the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards.
