Resilience Mentor

Hours per week 37.0

Working times 8.00am until 4.00pm Monday to Thurs (3:30pm finish on a Friday)

30 minutes lunch break

39 Working Weeks per annum

Essex Salary Scale 5 Point 9-12, full-time salary range £25,119 - £26,421 per annum

We are seeking a friendly, empathetic and enthusiastic mentor, who has the positive ethos to work in a dynamic, trauma-informed environment and who would like to join our inclusive school as our Resilience Mentor.

The role requires someone who is flexible, patient, understanding and able to adapt to different situations and people and will entail working under the direction of the Assistant Head to create and implement mentoring packages across all four year groups.

The successful candidate will:

· Be able to build strong relationships with a range of children and adults

· Be able to nurture a passion for personal development

· Plan, monitor and implement appropriate strategies to support children's resilience, emotional understanding and self-esteem

· Have experience of working with disengaged and vulnerable young people

· A desire to make a positive impact on children's lives

They will also be working with children and families with the highest SEMH needs in our school. Specific training for the role will be provided as appropriate, alongside dedicated planning & review time each week.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
