Higher Level Teaching Assistant Needed

32.5 hours per week/5 days a week/term time only

Salary Scale 7 (Point 19-24)

£19,436.71 - £21,870.89 pro rata

Trinity Road Primary School has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. We are looking to appoint an experienced, flexible and outstanding practitioner dedicated to improving children's progress and outcomes. The successful candidate will be expected to cover whole classes and support children with an array of learning needs both individually and/or groups. Prior experience of working with primary children is essential.

The successful candidate must:

· Be educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.

· Have GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or above

· Evidence and experience of teaching whole classes and/or relevant HLTA qualifications (teaching qualifications may be paid on the main scale)

· Have a positive approach and a range of strategies to the role of behaviour management.

· Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to children, parents and other adults.

· Be committed to supporting the school vision, mission and values.

· Have personal drive and determination to deliver the best standards for learners

· Have high expectations of all students

· Can support and enhance teaching and learning experiences for children

· Be self-motivated, intuitive and accountable

· Have a strong commitment to, and ownership of, professional development

· Be able to work flexibly and responsively to meet the needs of the children

· Collaborate and communicate to a high level with the teaching team and the support worker teams to make the most of high quality planning and preparation.
