Learning SupportAssistant Required ASAP

LGS Band 2 point including London Fringe Allowance

30 Hours Per Week Term Time Only (Inclusive of 5 Non-Pupil Days) working hours 8:45am-3:15pm (inclusive of 30 minutes for lunch) Monday-Friday.

We are a "Good School" (Ofsted July 2023) looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated Learning Support Assistant to support a child with ASD to join our friendly team.

The successful applicant will:

Have excellent organisation skills
Be an effective communicator with pupils and staff
Be self-motivated with high expectations of themselves and others
Hold at least an A-C pass in GCSE English and Maths
Be supportive of our Christian ethos
Be passionate about working with children to ensure they reach their potential and engage with current SEND research and initatives
Have an understanding of ASD and strategies on how to support children's learning and development
Have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with children, treating them with respect and consideration
Actively contribute to the wider life of the school
Have a good sense of humour
Be keen to work as part of a close-knit team
The successful applicant would be expected to have experience working with children and to write to a good standard of English. The applicant will be working with small groups or 1-1 and will be supported by the class teacher and SENDCO but will also be required to use their own initiative and expereince.
