An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within The Reach Group/ REACH Group Community Projects, as an experienced Mentor, supporting pupils in need of additional support to reach their full potential.

REACH Group Community Projects is currently looking to recruit an additional member of staff to work with a group of identified young people aged 11 - 17. The position is full time, (09:00am - 17.00pm) to start as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in the areas of youth work, support work or with young people with additional needs or presenting with difficult and challenging behaviours.

The incoming Youth Worker can expect to support the students to develop skills and engage socially with others ensuring learning, pastoral and behavioural targets are met. The successful candidate requires confidence, patience, and skill to successfully work with these children and make a positive impact on their lives.

We are looking for motivated professionals who will strive to always meet each young person's individual needs. We are an organisation with a heavy emphasis on utilising sports activities alongside proven methodologies to work with young people

We are looking for:

Previous experience working with children and young people in a Youth Work setting.
Calm, positive personality, you would also need to be familiar with company values and guiding principles which we adhere to at The Reach Group.
You will also be required to demonstrate that you have the required skills and knowledge to meet the needs of students/children
Have experience working with children aged 4-17
Hold level 3 qualification in Youth Work or equivalent
Have the legal right to work in the UK
Hold a full enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure.
Hold a full UK driving licence with business insurance or prepared to have business insurance added.
Contract is considering term time, part time and full time basis.

Extensive training is provided to all staff. REACH are committed to professional development and will devise a bespoke CPD offer to enable individuals to reach their full potential. Our current offer is Thrive Practitioner training, Level 3 Safeguarding training, Youth Work Qualifications up to Level 4 alongside ongoing CPD development.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent (option for term-time only contract too)

Salary: £20,700.00-£27,700.00 per year (pro-rota salary for term time only contract option)
