Wishes to appoint a 

Learning Support Assistant

Salary: Band A Point 1 - 6

(£15,346.20 - £16,744.69 per annum)

Fixed term contract until 31st December 2024

32 hours 5 minutes per week

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:25pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break)

37 weeks of the year - term time only

Start Date: 8th January 2024

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join Little Thurrock Primary School, who are a part of Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust.

The right candidate will take on a crucial role to enable pupils access to learning, by supervising and assisting pupils (one to one and in small groups) across a wide range of activities and supported learning activities within our school and make a difference to the life chances of or children.

You will work in partnership with class teachers, to support learning in line with the National Curriculum.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

· The ability to communicate with other members of staff effectively

· Assist with the planning of learning activities by identifying and preparing resources required to support lesson plans, learning outcomes

· The ability to build a strong professional relationship with the children and their families

· Good organisational skills

· Good behaviour management skills

· Applicants must hold GCSE Grade 4 or above in both English and Maths

· Accurate record keeping skills (Progress and medical where required)

· A willingness to support personal care

· A passion for the impact teaching and learning can have on improving life

· A commitment to delivering education of the highest standard
