PAXMAN ACADEMY
TEACHER OF MUSIC
Maternity Cover in the first instance
Pay Range: Teachers Main or Upper Pay Scale
Actual Salary from: £30,000 - £46,525
Start Date: 1st January 2024
The Role
Paxman Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Music to join us on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave, starting from January 2024. The position will suit an experienced or early careers teacher.

- This post is 100% FTE, fixed term from 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2024.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Be fully qualified to teach through the secondary range for Key Stages 3 & 4.
- Demonstrate an enthusiasm for the subject which will inspire student progress.
- Demonstrate a capacity to design materials that are adapted and will engage students in the learning process.
- Experience of IT and a willingness to use it to plan and teach lessons.

We're looking for you if you have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (Suitable for ECTs).
- Ability to teach lessons that challenge all students.
- A passion for teaching and making a real difference to young people.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Paxman Academy opened in September 2019 and admitted 180 Year 7 students in the first year.
