Learning Support Assistant
Fixed Term to 23rd July 2024
Hours 8:30 to 15:10 less 45 minutes breaks, Monday to Friday
38 weeks per year (term time only)
Scale 3 Points 5-6 (£23,500-£23,893 FTE)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our lovely school, for a fixed term contract ending on the 23rd July 2024. The successful applicant will work in partnership with the year two class teachers and SENCO and will be required to be flexible and adapt structured programmes to best meet the needs of the children within the groups.
The successful candidate should have the following:
Previous experience of supporting children in a school setting
Have a patient and positive approach to supporting pupils' learning and encourage every child to reach their full potential
Excellent organisation and inter-personal skills
Strong behaviour management skills
Is able to demonstrate patience, calmness and flexibility at all times
Work well in a team
Good standard of education: Maths and English GCSE grades A-C or equivalent
Good knowledge of ICT
Willing to undertake training and support individual needs
Have a basic awareness of policies including safeguarding

Hatfield Peverel Infant and Nursery School is a two form entry established school in the village of Hatfield Peverel and has easy access to the A12 and a train station within walking distance. We have a wonderful team of staff, Governors and supportive families who all help the children to be safe and happy.
