SEND Learning Support Assistant
Salary: Scale 3 - 4 Depending on experience
Contract: Fixed term - 31.08.2024
Working Pattern: Part Time,32.5 hours per week (8.15am - 3.15pm), term time only

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in our friendly and supportive school. The successful candidate will be a calm and compassionate person who can communicate at all levels and have a clear understanding of positive behavior management. The post involves working with our SEND pupils. Initially this will be a fixed term post though a possibility of permanent role is possible.
Successful candidates will be required to work flexibly taking direction from the class teachers and SENCo in adapting and planning activities to take students' learning forward. Key responsibilities relating to small group provision and interventions for SEND pupils. Our students' needs are at the core of our ethos and successful candidates will be required to support the emotional and social development of the young people they work with.
Candidates must be able to use their own initiative and will have the following:
EYFS experience essential
Have experience of working with children with speech and language difficulties
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is desirable
Good standard of education; Maths and English GCSE grades A - C, or equivalent
Can provide excellent classroom support in literacy, numeracy and behavioural needs
Good organisation and inter-personal skills
Be committed to high achievement from students and themselves
