Learning Support Assistant (Maternity Leave Cover)
This is an exciting opportunity to join our lovely team at Hazelmere Infant School and Nursery for Maternity Cover.
We are looking for a caring, patient and committed Learning Support Assistant to support our children. The role involves working closely with the class teacher and wider team to support children's learning, communication, regulation, personal development and wellbeing.
We are looking for someone who can build positive and trusting relationships, adapt support to meet individual needs and work as part of a warm and supportive team.
Experience of working with children with SEND would be an advantage, but we are also interested in hearing from people who are calm, reflective, willing to learn and genuinely committed to making a difference for children.
Visits to the school are warmly encouraged before applying. This is a valuable opportunity to see the provision, meet members of the team and find out more about the role.
Hours are 08:30-15:30, Monday to Friday. 38 weeks per year.

Hazelmere Infant School and Nursery is located in the Greenstead area of Colchester.
We have a well resourced school with an array of additional spaces including a purpose built space to support children with complex special needs.
In addition to our teaching staff and generous allocation of classroom support, we also employ therapeutic staff to support our children. We work in close partnership with our consortium schools (North Essex Schools Partnership) and Child First Trust to provide the best possible provision for our children and their families.
