We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, effective and dynamic Department Leader of Geography to lead our successful and ambitious Geography department at William Edwards School. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or middle leader who is passionate about Geography and committed to securing the very best outcomes for our students. The successful candidate will have the vision, expertise and leadership skills to drive continued improvement, promote high standards of teaching and learning, and inspire a love of Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The Geography department is a valued part of the school, delivering a broad and engaging curriculum that enables students to develop a strong understanding of the world around them. The successful candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of colleagues committed to fostering academic excellence and intellectual curiosity.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a track record of securing strong student outcomes
- Has a clear vision for outstanding Geography provision
- Has the ability to inspire, motivate and engage both students and colleagues
- Can lead curriculum development and promote high-quality teaching and learning across the department
- Has high expectations for achievement and aspiration
- Is committed to continuous professional development
