Fairways Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
Salary:
Level 4 SCP 6-7 £26,847.00 - £27,274.00 FTE (£13.92-£14.14/hour) Level 6 SCP 13-16 £30,023.00 - £31,525.00FTE (£15.56-£16.34/hour if covering a class)
Hours:
30 hours, 38 weeks/year

The Role
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who can work effectively with class teachers to support learning, deliver interventions and help pupils achieve their best. The role will also involve providing cover for classes when required.
The successful candidate will;
· Be enthusiastic, flexible and motivated.
· Be confident in following planning and delivering lessons to a class.
· Have high expectations for all children and a passion for improving outcomes.
· Be able to engage, inspire and motivate pupils in their learning.
· Be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrate empathy, understanding and a commitment to inclusion.
· Be confident supporting children with a range of learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
· Have experience of working with individuals and small groups.
· Have a good understanding of the primary curriculum.
· Be able to work independently using initiative, whilst also working effectively as part of a team.
· Demonstrate a good standard of English and Mathematics (GCSE Grade 4/C or above preferred)
· Maintain a positive outlook and good sense of humour.

Fairways is a two form entry primary school set in extensive beautiful grounds in Leigh on Sea that celebrates individuality, champions potential, and works tirelessly to ensure every pupil feels seen, supported, and valued. In addition to our fourteen classes we have a speech and language resource base which is an integral part of the school; the resource base children are included in all aspects of school life, with some fully included in mainstream classes.
