LEVEL 3 - EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER
Start date: October/November 2026
Salary: Negotiable (pt 4-11 dependent on level of responsibility) (FTE: £25,914- £28,871)
Actual salary: £20,938.14- £23,327.36
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 3:45pm with 30 minute lunch break. 36.25 hours a week term time only plus inset days
Tany's Dell Primary School and Nursery are looking for a Nursery Nurse or Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our successful team, working for 36.25 hours a week. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience working with children in a Nursery or other EYFS setting.
Our ideal candidate would:
- Be an effective role model that sets high expectations and motivates the children to achieve.
- Be able to plan and deliver high-quality learning opportunities in both adult-directed and child-initiated contexts.
- Be enthusiastic and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a thorough understanding of the Early Years Framework.
- Planning and delivering an effective curriculum is an important part of this role and therefore candidates must have an excellent understanding of EYFS outcomes. The successful candidate must have a passion for making a change in young children's lives.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to high expectations to meet the needs of all children
- Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Curriculum
- An emerging understanding of Key Stage 1 Curriculum and how young children learn
- The ability to contribute to planning
- The ability to assess children accurately and contribute to their learning journeys
- Experience of working collaboratively within a team of people to provide a stimulating learning environment
- The ability to share expertise, knowledge and understanding of young children's needs and achievements with parents and staff
- A recognised EYFS Level 3 qualification
- Experience of working in an inclusive environment and knowledge of SEND

Children get off to a flying start in the early years. Adults have planned the curriculum meticulously and are adept at developing children's language and communication skills. Children learn to read and enjoy gaining a secure grasp of number. Children are very settled learning in a calm environment. Adults help children develop confidence especially when learning in the outside areas. Children achieve well especially those with SEND.
