Canonium Learning Trust, winner of TES Trust of the Year (9 schools or fewer) 2025, is seeking to appoint a friendly, positive and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant and Midday Assistant at East Hanningfield CE Primary Academy.
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and proactive SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated SEND team. This role involves working closely with several children who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) to support their emotional needs.
This is currently an afternoon only position, which starts at midday and finishes at 3:15pm. The first hour will involve providing lunchtime cover as a Midday Assistant.
In this role, you will be responsible for the care and supervision of all children on the school premises during the lunch break, ensuring the safety and good conduct of pupils in both the dining hall and outdoor areas. There may also be an opportunity for additional hours to be available in the morning which will be discussed further at interview.
The working hours for this position are 3 hours and 15 minutes each day (12:00 - 15:15 Monday to Friday, term time only).
The salary for the LSA hours (2.25 hours per day) are: £7,415.63 per annum
The salary for the MDA hours (1 hour per day) are: £2,933.10 per annum.
