Role: Clerk to the Governors

Pay Range: Scale 7 point 19 - 24 (£16.62 - £18.35 per hour)
Job Description:- We are a single academy trust school looking to appoint a clerk to provide clerking services at our full governing board (FGB) meetings, finance meetings and at any appeals or hearings should they occur.
This is an exciting opportunityto join an established, friendly governing board at our two form entry primary school. There are six full FGB meetings a year along with three finance meetings, all of which start either at 4 or 4.30pm. The FGB's are usually two hours in duration and the finance approximately an hour. All meeting dates are set at the start of the school year.
The clerk is an important source of advice and support for the governing board. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be organised, meet deadlines and be able to observe confidentiality.

Information about the School
South Benfleet Primary School is a well-established, successful school which celebrated its 100th brithday in April 2026! Many of our parents and grandparents were educated here and although teaching methods and curriculum content have changed over the years, our ethos hasn't. We take great pride in our reputation for being 'a friendly, caring, family school’. We have well behaved and engaged learners with great parental support.
The school has over 400 children on roll. We are a 2 form entry school with 14 classes and a total staff of over 60. We have no mixed age classes. We are located in the heart of South Benfleet with good access to local shops and transport links.
